CRM feels slow

Common causes and quick fixes for perf issues.

Updated 2 July 2026

Jeanus should feel snappy. If pages are taking more than a second or two to load, one of these is usually the cause.

1. Too many browser tabs open

Every open Jeanus tab is polling for updates on the dashboard, chat and live customers panels. We throttle polling in background tabs, but a stack of 20 pinned Jeanus tabs still adds up. Close what you are not actively using.

2. Very large customer or product tables

The customers and products list pages load the first 100 rows and paginate the rest. If you filter or search, the query hits the whole table. Large tenants (10,000+ customers) sometimes see a second or two of extra latency here. Contact us if it becomes a daily issue - there are optimisations we can apply on the platform side.

3. Slow network on your end

Coffee shop or hotel wifi is often the culprit. Try tethering to your phone briefly - if Jeanus becomes fast again, the problem is upstream of us.

4. Browser extensions

Ad blockers, translation extensions and screenshot tools sometimes intercept every request on the page and add measurable delay. Open Jeanus in an incognito window (which disables most extensions) as a quick test. If it is faster, the culprit is one of your extensions.

What to send us if you want us to investigate.Time and date of the slow load, the page URL you were on, and a screenshot of the browser Network tab showing which specific request was slow. Send to help@pixelandshovel.co.uk.
