Agreements and contracts (e-sign)

Write a contract, send a signing link, and keep the signed copy on the customer record - no third-party e-sign tool needed.

Updated 30 July 2026

Agreements let you send a contract or agreement for someone to sign online, and keep the signed copy on their record. You don’t need a separate e-sign tool like DocuSign — it’s built in.

Where to find it

Open the “Agreements & contracts” panel on any customer or lead detail page and click “+ New”.

Writing the agreement

Give it a title and pick the recipient — their name and email pre-fill from the customer’s saved contact. Then write or paste the agreement text. Basic formatting is supported: use ## for headings, **bold**, and - for bullet points. It renders cleanly on the signing page.

Sending it

Click “Save & send to sign” and the recipient gets an email with a secure signing link. It sends from your connected Outlook, so it lands in your Sent items. You can also “Save draft” and send it later.

Signing

The recipient opens the link — no login needed — reads the agreement, ticks that they agree, and types their full name to sign.

Tracking

The status moves through Draft → Sent → Viewed → Signed (or Declined). Once signed, the signed copy, the signer’s name and the date are kept on the record.
