AI credits - what they are and how to top up

How every AI action is priced, where to see your balance, and how to buy more.

Updated 2 July 2026

AI features in Jeanus are powered by credits. Every AI action - a prospect search, a drafted email, a personalised briefing - deducts a small number of credits from your workspace balance. Your plan tops the balance up on a schedule, and you can buy extra credits if you run out mid-cycle.

Where to see your balance

Two places:

  • The sidebar pill. Every page shows a small credits pill at the bottom of the sidebar. Green when healthy, orange when low. Click it to jump straight to the top-up page.
  • Settings > Billing. The billing page shows the current balance, this cycle's allowance, and a full history of what has been spent on what.

What costs what

Approximate costs at the time of writing - check the billing page for the exact live numbers:

  • Find Prospects search. 4 credits per run.
  • AI-drafted email. 1 credit per draft.
  • Personalise this quote / offer. 1 credit per personalised recipient.
  • Today's briefing. Free - included in every plan.
  • Dashboard AI suggestions. Free - included in every plan.

Your monthly allowance

Every plan comes with a monthly credit allowance. Unused credits carry over to the next cycle up to a cap of two months of allowance - anything above that expires. This stops a workspace hoarding credits forever, but also means a slow month does not go entirely to waste.

Topping up

Settings > Billing > AI credits. Pick a top-up pack and pay by card. Credits land instantly and never expire. Top-up credits are spent AFTER your monthly allowance is used, so you always burn the "free" credits first.

Referrals earn free credits.Refer another business to Jeanus and both of you get bonus credits. See Settings > Refer a workspace.

What happens when the balance hits zero

Non-AI features keep working - your CRM, quotes, portal and website are unaffected. AI actions show a "Credits needed" prompt with a top-up button instead of running. Nothing breaks and nothing gets sent without credits.
