Send from a shared mailbox or alias
Add addresses your Outlook can Send As, then pick one from a dropdown when you send.
Updated 27 July 2026
By default Jeanus sends from your connected Outlook account. If you also send from a shared mailbox or an alias - for example a team address like sales@yourcompany.com - you can register those here and pick one from a dropdown when you compose.
Set up the Microsoft permission first.Registering an address in Jeanus does not grant permission to send from it - Microsoft does that. Your Outlook account must have Send As permission on the mailbox, or Microsoft rejects the send. An admin sets this at admin.microsoft.com → Recipients → Mailboxes → the shared mailbox → Delegation → Send As.
Add an address
- Go to Settings → Send-from addresses (/settings/email-aliases).
- Your Primary address (from Outlook) is shown at the top - it cannot be removed here. To change it, disconnect and reconnect Outlook.
- Under Additional send-from addresses, type the alias and click + Add. You will see a ✓ Saved confirmation.
- Remove any address later with its Remove button.
Sending from one
When you compose an email, a from dropdown lists your primary address plus every alias you have added. Pick the one you want and send. If you choose an address Microsoft will not let your account send as, the send fails with a clear error - fix the Send As permission and try again.
Notes
- Up to 20 addresses per person.
- Addresses are yours alone - each rep manages their own list.
- If Outlook is not connected, the page prompts you to connect it first under Integrations.
