Starting a project from a won lead

The one-click promotion from pipeline to project board.

Updated 2 July 2026

The moment a lead moves to Won is the natural moment to create the project. Jeanus makes this a single click so nothing falls through the cracks.

The Won-to-project handoff

When you mark a lead as Won, the confirmation dialog offers a Start delivery project tick box. Leave it ticked (it is on by default) and Jeanus creates a project on the newly-promoted customer with the deal name, expected close date as the project deadline, and the winning rep as the project owner.

Starting from scratch

You can also start a project without going through the pipeline. From the customer detail page, click Start project. Give it a name, a deadline and a shape (kanban or milestone) and you are off.

Choosing a starter template

When creating a project you can pick from any saved project templates. Templates come with a pre-built list of tasks or milestones, so an agency's "New site build" template might have Discovery, Wireframes, Design, Build and Launch already laid out.

Assigning work on day one

Each task can be assigned to a specific team member. Unassigned tasks sit in a "no owner" column that you can rake through in your Monday morning kickoff.

Tip.For repeat client work, save your best project as a template from the project overflow menu. Next time you can spin up the same board in seconds.
