Jobs - open roles you are working to fill
Create a job, link the hiring client, set contract or perm rates and IR35, and track submitted candidates.
A job is an open role you are working to fill - a first-class record in Jeanus, linked to the hiring client and to the candidates you submit for it. Jobs appear on recruitment workspaces (the candidatesmodule). Find them at /jobs.
The jobs list
The Jobs page lists your open roles with tabs for Open, Filled + cancelled and All. Each row shows the title, hiring client, employment type, rate, location, candidate count and a status pill (Draft, Open, On hold, Filled, Cancelled).
Create a job
- Click + New job.
- Give it a title (required) and, ideally, link the hiring client (a customer record).
- Pick the employment type: contract, permanent, fixed-term (FTC) or temp.
- Set the pay: a day-rate range for contract/temp roles, or a salary rangefor permanent. Currency defaults to GBP.
- Optionally add location and remote policy (remote / hybrid / onsite), a description, start and end dates, and an IR35 status (inside / outside / unknown) for UK contract roles.
- Add requirements as tags - skills, tech, years, certs, sector.
- Save. The job is created as Draft; move it to Open when you start working it.
The job detail page
Opening a job shows the role details on one side and, on the other, the submissions table - every candidate you have put forward for this role, with their status, submitted date and fee. Click a candidate to jump to their record.
Status flow
Draft → Open (or On hold) → Filled or Cancelled. Open roles (draft, open, on hold) show under the Open tab; filled and cancelled roles move to the closed tab. Jobs are never hard-deleted - cancelling keeps the history.
